Participation Pledge

________________________________________________ (Name of School, Business, Church) pledges to participate in the Mayor's ‘Get Fit Longview' community campaign as a strategy to encourage our employees, students, members, to lead a more productive and healthier lifestyle through education and the promotion of physical activity.

As a partner that promotes a healthier lifestyle, we embrace the Mayor's Council on Physical Fitness and are dedicated to finding positive and innovative solutions to health challenges facing our workforce and community.

We pledge to implement or participate in a minimum of three of the following:

• Implement at least one nutrition targeted program*

• Implement at least one Physical Activity program*

• Promote at least one "Get Fit" tip per month*

• Review system or policy changes that reflect a commitment to healthier lifestyle changes (vending selections, smoking cessation, etc.)

• Participate in a key community wide ‘Get Fit Longview' event each year

• Create an atmosphere that encourages and supports healthy behaviors through visual prompts in the workplace
